If you haven’t already, log into your account at buytheyearbook.com.
Setting Up
Step One Navigate to My Account, and click My Ad. If necessary, select your school from the drop-down list.
Step Two Click Design or Edit or Submit to access the design space.
Step Three Your ad space will open to show the size of your ad in relation to the page. To change the view, click the Settings icon in the bottom left corner of the workspace. Then, unclick Show Full Page Preview.
Step Four If you wish to use a pre-designed template, click the Templates icon at the top of the left-hand workspace toolbar - The icon looks like a bunch of boxes! All available templates will appear. Click the one you wish to use to add it to your page, then customize it to your liking!
Working With your template
Uploading Your Images To upload images, click Photos then Upload. JPG, TIF, PNG, PDF and HEIC are all supported files. Browse your computer, select, and upload the images you’d like to use.
Cropping Your Images
1) Drag your image from the photos section into a gray box in the design space.
2) Double-click the image: A dark bounding box will appear. Drag from a corner until you reach the desired size, then release the mouse and move the image to your preferred placement. Finally, click outside of the box to save.
Editing template text
Double-clicking on text will highlight it and ensure you're in the text box. Then, modify or delete text to your liking.
Changing how text looks
Click on the text you want to modify, and a black bounding box will appear along with a type setting menu. From that menu, you can change the font, size, and text alignment.
Saving and Sending your ad to the yearbook
Saving Your Ad Save your work regularly during the ad creation process by clicking Save for Later.
You may now safely leave the site and your ad will be here when you return!
Sending your ad When your ad is finished, click Send To Yearbook. Read through the dialogue pop-up, then click OK. A preview of your ad will appear. If the preview of your ad is good to send to the yearbook staff, click Submit. If there are changes, click Go Back. You cannot make additional changes after clicking Submit. Congrats you're done!
